It puts into perspective how short and insignificant our lives really are
Another trip down memory lane, and more perspective thoughts. This photo is ‘Apollo’s Temple’ (Side, Turkey) which is from the 7th century. It is hard to comprehend that this structure is from the 7th century, probably even earlier than that. It puts into perspective how short and insignificant our lives really are in the grand scheme of the world and its time of existence. The photo shows some distance perspective also, but to me the perspective is its age.
his photo was taken just over a year ago when I travelled to go see some ancient Greek ruins in Turkey (I ended up going back three times), the whole thing was amazing … broken columns were just laying on the ground and you could climb on them and explore. Apollo’s temple was impressive as was the amphitheatre we visited of which I will no doubts share some further photographs.
