Changing Looks

it’s now a unique piece of furniture which is functional and will look great once that study/work area is finished.

Another day, another perspective on something so, very ordinary. I, working on some DIY projects around my house. I am trying to create a comfy little workspace for whoever in the family that might need it. I have a desk with my big computer in, but I figured if I set up my laptop elsewhere in the house someone can take advantage of it.

In my head, I had envisioned a comfy little corner in this small space. I thought about it far too long, decided I needed to just start. So, I went out the other day with the intent of seeking ideas and inspiration and I came across this IKEA desk in a second-hand store. The desk is sturdy and good condition except that the top is scratched. It was only £20 so I figured I could afford to fix it up as it was a bargain (in my opinion).

So here’s the desk in the back of my car.

I’m currently putting my own stamp on it. Seeing the desk from a differing perspective, I am changing it so it’s no longer an all-white desk from Ikea. It’s not finished yet, I’ve done the fronts of the drawers, but I’m going to do the top tomorrow. My own perspective on this desk … it’s now a unique piece of furniture which is functional and will look great once that study/work area is finished.
