Brightens Up A Cold winter Day

Thought I’d share a FOTD along with my update to brighten up the day as it is cold an dreary here.

These are flowers I photographed whilst on holiday in the Canary Islands in December. I hope you like them as much as I do.

The last few days have been a bit up and down while the children find them selves back into come sort of learning routine. Toni and Seb have an exam on Wednesday which is actually the first of two papers from a Chemistry GCSE. It’s an important one, as anyone who knows what GCSE exams are will understand what I mean. I keep telling the children that if they study hard then its over and done with. I am hoping that the fear of having to keep doing this subject again gets them through the exam and a good grade. The idea of sitting the exam now, is that there is less to do in the May and June season of exams, however secretly I regret booking this one this month as its so soon after the Christmas break. I wont tell the children that, I don’t want to give them an excuse not to study and then throw it back at me.

My work as kept me busy as has the routine of daily life again, I kind of took my foot of the gas as they say, lately and things slacked off around the house. My other half had a cold which has now affected the rest of the family. I hate to say it, but the other half let us all know that he was unhappy with having the cold, he was loud and was the epitome of why men get the reputation of having man flu when they get sick. I have now caught it from him and don’t feel good, but I have to just get on with things the best I can.
