I’m Home

We did it! We arrived home safely from our travels to Turkey. I stayed in an area of Turkey about half way along the south coast, less well known for British tourists, but there were plenty of Eastern European people visiting.

I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I did some sightseeing, but mostly I just did R&R. There were plenty days where I just visited the local town and times spent lazing by the pool or the beach. The lazy days were interspersed with trips out and visits to local places of interest. I walked miles and miles on those days, my poor little feet are tired out, I need a holiday to recover from my holiday. We met lots of interesting people, made new friends too.

I have so many photographs to share, I think I will share some spread over a few different topic posts in the next few days. I don’t want to overwhelm anyone, but also I want to take the time to look through my photos and then explain a little of the background. We did so many exciting things, however this year I didn’t take bear as many photographs as usual. I left my camera in the apartment a lot, I sort of felt I wanted to enjoy the trip without the added pressure of having to capture every moment.

Since I arrived home 48 hours ago I have felt excessively tired. Not sure what it is, it’s not like the journey was horrendous although we didn’t get in till the middle of the night. I wonder if it’s just the change in diet and also the fact that it’s over, the relief that we all arrived back safely and had no major mishaps.

Tomorrow is going to be a semi normal day. In the morning I have to work and the children are back to their lessons. In the afternoon Sol has another recording for that CBeeBies TV show, they asked her back and she very enthusiastically said yes. That itself will be another story.
