Cat In A Doughnut

Cat in a doughnut! Click here to read why.

I understand that cats are well respected in Turkey. However without adequate research I cannot back this up with suitable evidence. I read a story about how Muhammad cut off his sleeve as not to disturb a sleeping cat, yet others have said that this is not the reason for the Turkish cat situation. It’s something I will read up on more when I am not holidaying, I love cats so I’d like to know more.

We’ve seen a few, the hotel seems to have a one eyed mummy cat and two younger cats which appear to be her kittens, plus we have a little black kitten which seems to just sit outside our window. The mummy cat just wanders about, yesterday morning she followed us to the island next to where we are staying. Later, we saw her in the dining room just sitting washing herself while everyone walked around her with their plates of food. Eventually a waiter came along with a broom and pushed her gently out of the way.

What tickled me today is that as I was posting this photo I realised that Becky has posted an inflatable object too, though here’s is much larger than mine.

This is one of the two kittens we have seen, my entry for pink squares in September #inthepink.

The theme for squares this month is ‘In the Pink‘ and the one rule as always is that your main photograph must be square. After that the world is your oyster, or should I say flamingo?! To help you get started here are some ideas you might want to consider;

1 ‘In the Pink’ – means perfect condition or in good health, so that could be human or not!

2 ‘Tickled Pink‘ – means delighted, so I’m thinking happy, fun and of course delighted. That could be you or the subject of your photograph.

3 Pink – you can of course simply share anything that is coloured pink

4 There is an extra challenge for those of you up for it – can you manage to combine two of these, or maybe even all three?

Squares is a daily challenge, so your photographs can be from the archives or brand new. If daily is too difficult, then feel free to post every other day, weekly or even just once in the month. No matter how often you post I will include you in my regular pink galleries. Don’t forget though to keep your photo square, and to pingback with #InthePink.
