Fifteens, I understand is a Northern Ireland thing, they are very nice to eat and require very little preparation. The clue for the recipe ingredients is in the name, fifteen of this and fifteen of that. I had made these for the coffee morning we hosted last week, but I had not got round to posting the recipe.
Ingredients
15 digestive biscuits
15 marshmallows (45 mini marshmallows)
15 glacé cherries
150ml condensed milk
15g of desiccated coconut
Method
Crush the digestive biscuits with a rolling pin.
Chop up the marshmallows.
Slice the glacé cherries in half
Mix the above ingredients together and pour on the condensed milk. Add more milk if required.
Lay out some tinfoil and sprinkle the coconut on it.
Spoon the fifteens mix onto the foil and make into a sausage shape.
Coat the ‘sausage’ in the coconut and roll up the foil.
Chill in the fridge for several hours.
Slice the sausage and serve.
