Listen up! These are the best brownies you’ve ever had, and I would challenge you to find better. Well not really a challenge, but if you make them you won’t regret it. They are really chocolatey and the brownies give them a satisfying crunch.
They are relatively easy to make so read on then go get yourself some brownies.
140g butter (5oz)
300g sugar (10.5oz)
75g cocoa powder (2.6oz)
1/4 teaspoon salt (I actually forgot to add it on this occasion)
2 large beaten eggs from the fridge
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
60g plain (AP) flour (2.1oz)
100g chocolate chips (3.5oz)
1.5 packs of Oreos (approximately 21, but doesn’t matter exactly)
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F
Grease and line your brownie baking pan.
Place the butter, sugar, cocoa powder and salt in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave this mix for 30 second intervals until it is melted and warm, stirring after each 30 seconds.
Mix in the beaten eggs and vanilla.
Lastly fold in the flour and the chocolate chips. The chocolate chips make the batter shine as they melt.
Spoon your batter into your prepared brownie pan and lay your Oreos evenly across it. My pan is a divider pan and had space for 18 oreos.
If you like then crumble a couple more Oreos on the top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a cocktail stick comes out almost clean when you insert it into the centre. I found my oven ran hot this day as I had baked other things so they were ready before the time.
All the brownies to cool in the pan before slicing up. If you can wait that long.
